Emma Corine BOMBARD Welborn
Name: /WELBORN/
Per Emma Corine, there are four sets of WELBORN's that live in Louisiana, migrated from Mississippi, and yet none are related. She mentions the following names from some of these "unrelated" WELBORNs: Jess WELBORN, Ben WELBORN, Weber "Peewee" WELBORN, and Troy WELBORN, who WAS related: a first cousin to Henry Marvin WELBORN. Peewee WELBORN and Emma Corine's half brother Frank, were close friends. Emma told me that there is a family plot in Wallace, LA - the Wallace Cemetary.
Furthermore, there are no markers. Buried there: Her mother, father, two brothers, three sisters, her grandmother, and an uncle. Emma related the story to me that when the children were still very young, she would take them with her to the work fields (cotton), set them on a pallet of blankets beneath the shade of a tree, provide them with a bucket of drinking water, and there they would entertain themselves all day long
whilst she worked the cotton fields.

Her grandfather was the only Bombard to come south; she had met only one other Bombard in Louisiana, and he had migrated there from the North -- she had since lost all track of him. All of the Bombards, and Emma Corine's mother (Emma Elizabeth "Emmaline" Davis) are buried in Wallace Cemetery, Wallace, Louisiana, except for those who moved to Texas. Her brother ·ÄòJim·Äô Bombard changed his name to Bumbard.

Corrine said there is a family plot in Wallace, Louisiana (The Wallace Cemetery) but no markers. Buried there are Corrine's mother, father, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, her uncle, and her grandmother.
Corrine related a story: When the children were still very small, she would take them with her go work in the cotton fields, set them on a pallet of blankets beneath the shade of a tree, provide them with a bucket of drinking water, and they would entertain themselves all day long while she picked cotton.
