I have added four speculative daughters to Joseph Sevier and Sarah Elizabeth Cawood. I have done this in order to see if it will pick up any DNA matches in ThruLines. Use this information with caution. I don't know if it is correct.
In the Overton County Tennessee Circuit Court Minutes June Term 1839 there is a court case involving Elizabeth Sevier and Rebecca Sevier vs. Alfred C Sevier. It is a dispute over the ownership of a slave. It seems as if it could be two unmarried sisters bringing a lawsuit against their brother for possession of the slave although it does not specifically state the relationship between the plaintiffs and the defendant. This could be proof that Joseph Sevier (1764-1826) did have two daughters named Elizabeth and Rebecca.
The Sevier Family History books states that there are two other possible sons of Joseph Sevier (abt 1764-1826) and Sarah Elizabeth Cawood (1765-1842).
They are:
Archibald C Sevier (abt 1789-abt 1820 near Burkesville, Kentucky) m. Hannah Webb
William Sevier (died 10 Mar 1830 Overton Co TN) m. 4 Aug 1814 Overton Co TN to Margaret Matlock
The Sevier Family History books also states that they could be the sons of General/Governor John Sevier’s son Valentine.
