Welcome aboard the Mayflower, cousin! Through Cordelia Beers, you are a Mayflower descendant of two passengers: Degory Priest and John Billington. I am also a Billington descendant so we are cousins, too! If you are interested, I can send you the pages from The Mayflower Families through 5 Generations, Volume 21, John Billington, that gives your line from John through Spencer Beers, Cordelia's father. I don't have the MF5 book for Degory Priest so I can't be too much help with that line but the connection is mentioned in the Billington book.
Phil and I are both members of the Mayflower Society. Getting all the paperwork in order was an ordeal but it taught me some excellent lessons in genealogy and documenting events. Some people care about membership, others don't give a hoot. We did it because it was a way to preserve the information for future generations. It is always exciting to learn something like this about your ancestors - a neat little factoid to drop at the dinner table on Thanksgiving. Marcia"
