Mountain View Cemetary, Beulah & Northern in Pueblo, CO
Zij had een relatie met William Henry O'Donnell.
Kind(eren):
7th born, Author of "Precious Memories" that I am so grateful for history we have for our family.
"I was 25 years old when I married Bill O'Donnell. William David, our adopted son came to us when he was 6 days old. I didn't sleep that first night because I would make formula and throw it away. I was so afraid of making a mistake.
Our second son John Leonard was born later but he lived only one day.
David and Becky had twin sons, Richard Daniel and Randall David. They also had one daughter, Dani Lynn.
I can remember having a roan horse named Roxie. I helped herd cattle and quite often won the races with the other kids.
Our first dog was a sheep dog named Queen (Grannie talked about Queen also and Jeromy named Our Bernese Mountain Dog after Queen from Grannie's stories D. A. ) The next was a bull dog named Corbot who loved to chase cars.
One time Dad took me to town in the Maxwell and i bought an ice cream cone. Then I decided to Take one home to Rose -- five miles away. "Needless to say it melted, Imagine that!!"
I started first grade when i was a very skinny little 6 year old. When I went into second grade the teacher decided to move me to third grade right away. That was a mistake, i needed that year.
I worked for a CF & I family, Mrs. MD Thatcher at the State Hospital dining room, the YWCA in Salt Lake City and the University of Utah dining hall. I returned to Pueblo and met Bill. We were married 33 years. After his death it seems as though I babysat for nearly every family in Pueblo. I also took care of the nursery at Mesa Presbyterian Church.
One of the things I loved to do most was have the family over for turkey dinner. The last time we got together there were 20 adults and a few children.
Two of my best and most recent memories were when Randy, Margaret Ann and Mary McDonald (a dear friend from the Manor) and I went to Colorado Springs in the summer of 1992 to see Rose and Ira. We had such a nice happy visit. Donna and her children were there too. The other was just recently when Virginia and her daughter Jan surprised me with a visit. We had such a good time. What lovely days, What lovely memories!
I am the "Last of the Mohicans" Please do two things for me:
l. Put your memories in a journal. Your children will love to know about your early years and they will enjoy remembering their own childhood through your words.
2. Be sure to tell your family "I love you". Do it before it is too late.
I Love You, Lillian
Billie raised Randy and Ricky with the help of Margaret Ann Abbott.
