Echtgeno(o)t(e): Susanna Dorothea Hoeck (geboren Hamme)

According to marriage records for Trinity Evangelical "Johann Jacob Hoeck and Susanna Dorothea Hamin, both single people who came only last fall from Germany and have been in the neighborhood, were married after public proclamation three times in the church after Kinderlehre on Cantate Sunday, April 23, 1749."

Johan Jacob and JohannConrad both had sons named John Frederick and this has been a source of confusion. Family information included in an 1886 History of York Co, PA lists this John Frederick as the son of J. Conrad but Conrad's John Frederick was born July 17, 1761. J. Jacob's son was born in June 5, 1759. The issue of which is which is not settled and the birth date discrepency on the tombstone is troubling and adds to the confusion - but I believe it is more likely to have the correct year and wrong month than the other way around. Therefore, I list the John Frederick Hake who died in 1830 as the son of John Jacob Hake (1724-1803) and Susanna Dorothea Hamme.
