Limietweg 129,  de schuur Aan het fietspad van de Limietweg (zuid) naar Hebelermeer staat aan de rechterkant een schuur, omgeven door vooral berkenbomen en een grote eik.


Omstreeks 1920 koopt de 24-jarige Johann Berend Koiter, roepnaam ‘Berend’ een huis met twee en een kwart bunder grond. Het huis met dak van stro -het is meer een keuterij- staat op het bovenveen, 300 meter te zuidwesten van grenspaal 163 tussen Hebelermeer en Bargercompascuum. Het huis heeft zijn ramen gericht op de grens. Berend gaat er samen met zijn 1 jaar jongere vrouw Helena Sulmann, roepnaam Lene, uit Schöningsdorf wonen.


Ze houden er beesten en bewerken de grond. Lene is bekend met het boerenwerk, als kind heeft ze onder Duitse boeren gediend als ‘biestheerd’ en was zomers met haar kudde koeien (beesten) in het veld
