    Estella R. Hake-Krohn,age 95, of Jefferson City, passed on to the loving arms of her beloved Jesus on Friday, September 29, 2017. Estella Rose was born to Oscar T. and Rose M. Sommerhauser-Faherty on January 6, 1922, nearClarksburg, Missouri.

    She was baptized at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tipton, Mo. She attended Cross Lane elementary school near her home. Later in life, she completed studies in the arts and was very talented as a painter ofexotic animals and landscapes.

    Estella Rose was married to Lawrence Henry Hake in 1943. Lawrence died in 1981.

    She was married to Frederick Krohn in 1992. Frederick died in 2017.

    Estella and Lawrence were the parents of seven children. Estella is survived by daughter, Remy Wagner of Columbia; sons, Conrad Hake and his wife Ann Louise of Mary's Home, Mo., Gilbert Hake and his wife Diane of Hartsburg, Mo., Andrew Hake and his wife Cynthia of Jefferson City, Mo., Harry Hake and his wife Mary Frances of Jefferson City, Mo. and daughter-in-law, Cheryl, of Lee Summit, Mo. She is survived by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

    Sons Marc Hake and Leo Hake preceded her in death.

    Estella and Lawrence lived most of their life in Tipton, Missouri. They moved to Mary's Home Missouri after Lawrence retired in 1978. Lawrence and Stella lived in the Mary's Home area of Missouri and operated an upholstery shop until the death of her husband Lawrence in 1981.

    Estella later moved to Kansas City, Mo. where she spent her time helping with grandchildren and many civic activities. After the death of Frederick, Estella moved to Villa Marie Nursing Home in Jefferson,City to be closer to her children. She remained there until her death.

    Estella was an artist with remarkable skills and talents. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, needlepoint and artisan crafts. She was an avid reader. She spenther life learning in whatever form that took.

    Estella will be sadly missed by all those who loved her. We are comforted knowing that she now rests in the loving arms of her God.

    A memorial service will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, at 12:00 noon at Friedens Church, 9522 Pleasant Hill Road, Near Brazito, Mo. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice
