Reijer Mulder verongelukte op 20-08-1773 met z'n oudste zoon Cornelis Mulder en Dirk Jansz Snip op zee voorbij Egmond. Aangezien z'n overlijden aangegeven werd door z'n zoon Cornelis Mulder veronderstel ik dat er twee zoons waren die de naam Cornelis hadden.
