Torfinn e Ingebjørg tuvieron los hijos Pål y Erlend, quienes se convirtieron en condes bajo la tutela de su madre y lucharon durante la fallida invasión de Inglaterra por Harald Hardråde en 1066. Erlend tuvo más tarde al santo hijo Magnus (ca. 1076-1115), quien sufrió el martirio y se convirtió en el santo nacional de las Islas Orcadas.
