== Biography ==
William Hutchinson alderman and tanner of Lincoln. His will 4 Jan proved 6 March 1556/6 named brother John, sister Remington and her husband and brother Thomas' daughter. Wife Dorothy survived him and re-married Thomas Raithbeck of Horncastle whom she survived. She died 1596.

He had 3 sons and 3 daughters with Dorothy _________:
#Christopher of Maplethrope who d 1592, m Anne, 3 sons 2 daus.
#Thomas later of Louth who d 1609/10, wife Anne, 3 sons, 5 daus.#William of Horncastle and merchant of Staple who d 1576, wife Elizabeth who survived him, dau. Margaret who m. Herbert Thorndike
#Margaret who was living yet at 1560.
#Mary who was not yet 15 at her father's death.#Margery who married John Neale, a tanner of Horncastle. Her will 1610/1 shows her to have been a wealthy and generous woman remembering nieces and nephews and the poor of the parish. His brother was John who d. 24 May 1565. Sons William, Edward, dau. Mary. First wife Margaret believed to be nee Browne. His will named son William who m. 26 Aug 1565 at St Mary Wigfords, Lincoln, Margaret Sisson. He d 14 Jan 1583/4. Other sons named Thomas, John, Arthur whose wife was nee Hutchinson, dau. of Anne Hutchinson relict of John Hutchinson, Jane who m. Edmund Knight, Jane d. c. 1584, Edmund Knight d. Sept 1584 and finally Alice who m. before 1583 to Thomas Dyneson.
And a sister Alice who m. James Remington of Branston, his will proved 18 Jan 1558/9. Her will proved 27 March 1567. Her brother John named as supervisor of both wills.
