This name is listed as Elisha, but there was no other Oliver in the county at the time with that name. [5]. Also listed Muster Roll 10 JUN 1836 "for a volunteer company of mounted men over 45 years of age subject to the order of the Governor in reference to any difficulties that may occur with the Cherokee tribe of Indians." The Jackson County Mounted Volunteers were attached to the 26th Regiment. [5].
