Sarah Clarke, daughter of [[Clarke-34|Elisha Clarke]] and [[Reynolds-65|Susannah Reynolds]], was born about 1725 at North Kingston, Rhode Island, and died in Nova Scotia after 1805.Sanford, Jack Minard, 1900- . He is the son of Capt. Ezbon Sanford (descended from John Sanford, 3rd President of the Colony of Rhode Island) and Mary Woodward]]. He passed away in 1805 at Newport, Nova Scotia.
Encome’s brother, Benjamin Sanford, born at Newport, Rhode Island in 1732, is considered the founder of the King's County Sanford family. In May, 1760, Benjamin travelled from Newport, Rhode Island in the sloop ''Sally'', Jonathan Lovatt, master, to Falmouth, Hants County, Nova Scotia. At the same time came a Joshua Sanford, and later came another Joshua, and Joseph, '''Encome''', Woodward, Esbon and Peleg Sanford.Eaton, Arthur Wentworth Hamilton, 1849-1937. Encome, his wife Sarah, and five children (Woodward, Mary, Esbon, Elizabeth, Peleg) were living in Newport, Nova Scotia in 1761. He was recorded in Nova Scotia as “Proprietor’s Clerk” on 12 Nov 1763. “Encom” Sanford was recorded in Newport on Dec. 30, 1772 and on Sept. 5, 1781.
