Mogelijk samen met broer Johannes Jacobus had Heinrich een sigarenfabriekje in Rhenen, Acacialaan, waarin thans de Eerste Zwitserse metaalwarenfabriek gevestigd is. Een paar zaken uit de geschiedenis kunnen met dit fabriekje samenhangen:
- In 1921 is er i.v.m. een indexbijslag een staking in sigarenfabriek "Van Amstel en Hardeman", die ten gunste van de arbeiders wordt beslecht.
- In 1922 en 1924 wordt een tabaksvergunning gegeven aan H. Hardeman, Koningsstraat 12, Rhenen.
- In 1940 brandt Hardemans sigarenfabriek aan de Duistereweg af t.g.v. oorlogshandelingen. De fabriek verhuist naar de Acacialaan. Later hebben achtereenvolgens de heren Zwicky en Baumann (tot nu toe) hier een bedrijf voor metaalbewerkingen.
- In 1943 treedt T.Tjakkes uit de vennootschap en gaat H. Hardeman als overblijvende vennoot door met de "Gooische tabak- en sigarenfabriek", Walletje 10, Rhenen.
- In 1946 wordt H. Hardeman, tot dan toe fabrikant kerftabak, sigarenfabrikant.
- In 1950 wordt sigarenfabriek Hardeman & Tjakkes opgeheven. Het bedrijf had tien man personeel.
- Wellicht is de "Gooische tabak- en sigarenfabriek", Walletje 10, Rhenen, die functioneerde van 1940 tot 1961, dezelfde fabriek. Hij behoorde aan H. Hardeman, geboren Emmerich 21-3-1882 8820321> en aan T. Tjakkes, geb. 1-7-1884 in Oostwold.
- Van de heer H.W. Baumann van de Eerste Zwitserse metaalwarenfabriek vernam ik dat H. Hardeman beschermheer is geweest van de muziekvereniging O.B.K. (Oefening Baart Kunst)
