Dear Phil

Wow.........thanks for the prompt response and the information!! (I came across you via the whittington soc web-site so I have seen the farm photos).

I am one down on this; thus Dora was my granddmother. She became a teacher, married an Alfred Perks of Cheslyn Hay.

I think they got married on 27th Dec 1915 at St Chads, Lichfield. The parent Perks lived at 19 Wellington Villas in Cheslyn Hay. Dora & Alf went on to have a shop in Featherstone and then at The Scotlands, Essington.(where Fanny died). Dora and Alf had one daughter, Jean (my mother), born 19/02/1921 at 117 Station St, Cheslyn Hay. My father (Reginald walter Evans from Portsmouth- RAF pilot) and Jean married in 1938 in Wolverhampton. ( I have the details somewhere). They went out to Kenya on a government farming scheme in 1946. Dora joined her there after Alf died in 1978/9. My mother died in Nairobi in 2011. I am the only son; born in 1952 in Kenya. (I have dates for all these)

I too have the details of the 10 Priests and of the others that survived - George, Lillian and Archie - I also have the details of who they married and offspring which I would be happy to send on to you. Meanwhile I have a distant relative who has researched the Perks side of the family and even produced a book (there are hundreds of them!!) on the subject. I don't know if this is of interest also?

Please let me know what you need in terms of information and I would be very happy to help. Also your address as I will post this information on to you if you like.(I have some photos of some of these people if this is also of interest?)

Meanwhile, I would be very pleased to have any further details you have on the parents of William and of Fanny and earlier.

Kind regards and again thank you.
