Notes about Christoph II Graaf van Fürstenberg-Kinzigtal

Christoph II von Fürstenberg aus der Kinzigtaler Linie, getötet im Streit mit Graf Wilhelm v. Fürstenberg-Heiligenberg, hatte zwei Söhne, Wratislaus II und Friedrich Rudolf. Ersterer vermählte sich mit der Erbtochter des 1627 verstorbenen Rudolph Graf von Meßkirchen und Gundelfingen und gründete die Meßkirchener Linie. Sein Enkel Frobenius Ferdinand wurde am 9.11.1716 in den Reichsfürstenstand erhoben. Die Meßkirchener Linie starb aber schon am 7.9.1744 mit Karl Friedrich Fürst von Fürstenberg aus. Friedrich Rudolph (s. o.) gründete die Stühlinger Linie, er hatte die Erbtochter des Grafen Max von Pappenheim und Landgraf von Stühlingen geheiratet und so die Landgrafschaft Stühlingen und die Herrschaft Hohenhöwen (Hohenhewen) bekommen.
