Haar huwelijk met Floris III van Holland wordt door de Annales Egmundenses op het jaar 1162 gesteld (ed. Oppermann pag. 168).
Aangezien de oorkonde Koch nr. 151 (door hem als echt beschouwd) gedateerd is 'in het eerste jaar van mijn huwelijk met Ada's zuster van de koning van Schotland, 28 augustus' ('anno primo... matrimonii nostri quo sororem regis Scotie Adam duxi uxorem, quinto kl. septembris'), is dit huwelijk in 1162 voor de genoemde datum gesloten.
Haar sterfdatum wordt vermeld in de Tabula (ed. Oppermann pag. 109): 3 Idus Ianuarii (= 11 januari); Beka hoofdsuk LV (ed. Bruch pag. 88) geeft ook de begraafplaats aan: 'in den clooster tot Middelborch'.
Het jaar van overlijden is op zichzelf niet bekend; zij was echter nog in leven op 14-10-1206 (Koch nr. 280). Het jaar van overlijden ligt na 1206.
