.Am 9. Januar 1851 hat Fräulein Wilhelmine von Ising, Tochter des Großherzoglich-Oldenburgischen Hauptmanns Andreas von Ising und Anna Clementine, geborene Lenz von Hoefften, mit dem Prinzen Emil zu Salm-Salm auf Gut Vogelsang ihre eheliche Verbindung gefeiert, welcher Tag im besonderen auch fur die Familie von Ising ein Ehren- und Freudentag war. Um das Andenken an diesen Ehrentag für künftige Zeiten zu erhalten, geruhen der Prinz zu Salm Salm und die Gebrüder Meinhard und Wilhelm von Ising, ersterer königlich preußischer General-Major a.D. aus Potsdam, letzterer Gutsbesitzer zu Vogelsang, eine Stiftung zu errichten, wodurch alljährlich den Armen und Hilfsbedürftigen eine Freude bereitet werden soll und haben dazu folgendes bestimmt" ... so beginnt eine umfangreiche Akte, die vom Notar Georg Carp aus Wesel am 7. Juni 1851 auf Vogelsang gefertigt und gesiegelt wurde. Neben den Stifternunterschrieben als anwesende Zeugen Diedrich Beling und Johann Kleinherbers aus Hamminkeln.

Die Hochzeit einer Nichte von Wilhelm von Ising, die 1851 auf Vogelsang ausgerichtet und gefeiert wurde, war der Anlaß, die ,,Prinz Emil Salm-Salm von Ising'sche Armen-Stiftung" ins Leben zu rufen, die von übergeordneten Regierungsstellen in Düsseldorf bestätigt wurde.
