Rond het midden van de achttiende eeuw waren ze door verscheidene draden met elkaar verweven.18. Van de generatie van rond 1730 waren niet alleen Jacobus' zus Hester Barnaart en Philip Kops met elkaar getrouwd, ook was een zus van Philip, Catharina Kops (1726-1792), getrouwd met willem Barnaart (1726-1779), een achterneef van Jacobus.
