Henricus BOTHENIUS, ook genaamd Henricus BOTHE en BOTE, priester, pastoor, prediker en predikant, afkomstig uit Vechta (D), geboren rond 1570, wonende te Aschendorf (D), te Vierhuizen en te Oldeberkoop, overleden aldaar op 28 november 1636.
Was eerst pastoor in Aschendorf en later predikant aldaar van 1594 tot 1614. Na de voltooiïng van de contra-reformatie in 1614 door Franciscanen van het Eemsland werd hij uit zijn ambt als predikant ontslagen. Hij trok, zoals meer voormalige priesters die de zijde van de reformatie gekozen hadden, naar de provincie Groningen.
Zijn zonen bij een onbekende vrouw:
Henricus BOTE Jr. ook genaamd Henricus BOTHENIUS en BOOTIUS, geboren te Aschendorf (D) rond 1608 Bij zijn immatriculatie in Groningen was hij 14 jaar oud.
Casparus BOTHENIUS, dominee, wonende te Grijpskerk, overleden voor 1 mei 1676.
Hij was gehuwd met Sibylle Adrianidr RIEMERSMA, wonende te Grijpskerk en te Groningen, overleden na 1 mei 1676. Op 1 mei 1667 vertrokken met attestatie van Grijpskerk naar Groningen.
