1693 - De nieuwe eigenaar wordt Joseph Hoeufft. Het kasteel wordt dan omschreven als: "de riddermatige hofstede van Lunenborgh met synen toorn, huysinge, singels, graften enz.">

Joseph Hoeufft had alleen een dochter, Sara Henriëtte Josepha geheten, die na zijn dood Lunenburg erft. Zij trouwde met Hendrick Ruysch, die het kasteel in 1737 afstaat aan zijn zoon Balthasar Constantijn. Gedurende dertien jaar is deze zoon heer van Lunenburg, als hij in 1750 besluit om de woontoren te verkopen. Het kasteel wordt dan eigendom van Frans Godard van Lynden, die ook al heer van Hemmen en Blitterswijk was. In de verkoopakte wordt Lunenburg omschreven als: "toren, huisinge en getimmerte, singels, graften, vijvers, duivevlugten, visscherijen, mitsgaders boerewoning, brouwerij, ketels, schuren, bergen, boomgaarden, bouw- en weilanden". Bij het kasteel hoort 18 morgen land en 20 morgen bos.
