Notes about Johanna Frangepáni della Tolfa Vrouwe van Toritto

According to Christopher Weber "Genealogien zur Papstgeschichte, Paepste und Pappstum" Volume 29,4 page 716 calls her Giovanna (+1700 ultima di sua casa) di Carlo della Tolfa, Duca di Gruma.
According to ES Volume III/3 Tafel 588/589 shows the Frangepan family and is displayed as having become extinct aboput the same time. And I wonder, if you are correct that Giovanna was a Frangepan, was there a branch not displayed by ES?
ES does not display a della Tolfa family.
And there I found a confirmation you are correct. George L. Williams "Papal Genealogy" page 126 shows the pope to be son of "Giovanna, daughter of Carlo Frangipane, Duke of Grumo. The Frangipane family was famous for its impact on the papacy some seven hundred years earlier". This last remark is no help as a gap of 700 years is a little too large.
ES does not show a Grumo family either.
Then I spotted that Leo Lindemans in his books on the ancestors of the Belgian Royal Family does show della Tolfa. But they are only Signores, not Dukes and there doesn't seem to be any connection..
