Op initiatief van mevr. J.G. Willink werd aan de Rijksstraatweg een school met de bijbel gesticht: de Willinkschool. Nadat zij toestemming van de schoolopziener en het gemeentebestuur kreeg, kon de school in 1904 worden geopend. Jarenlang zorgde de familie Willink voor een schoolreisje voor leerlingen van de hoogste klassen. Deze traditie zette de laatste telg van de familie Willink voort. De schoolkinderen bezochten jaarlijks Arnoldine Leonie Willink, de laatste ambachtsvrouw van Bennebroek, op 3 september op haar verjaardag in het Huis te Bennebroek. Ook bracht mevrouw Willink rond Sinterklaas cadeautjes voor de kinderen en het onderwijzend personeel. Naast overleg met het bestuur van de Nederlands Hervormde kerk en het onderwijzend personeel onderhield de ambachtsvrouw regelmatig contact met de burgemeester.
