On trouve dans la Suite du supplément au nobiliaire des Pays-Bas (1630-1661), p. 151, une généalogie de l'ancienne et illustre maison d'Oyenbrugge. Mais, si l'on doit en juger par ce que l'on rencontre, sur cette famille, dans les archives que nous avons pu consulter, grâce à l'obligeance de M. Ozeray, cette généalogie est loin d'étre exacte et complette.
Ainsi, à propos du baron de Meldert, gouverneur de Bouillon, le Nobiliaire énumère bien les enfants qu'il eut de sa première femme, Anne de Corswarem, puis il ajoute: il épousa ensuite Wilhelmine du Pin [sic), sans dire qu'il en eut des enfants, sans mentionner, surtout, la position sociale de leur mère. Le Nobiliaire donne la date du 25 avril 1625 comme celle de la mort du baron de Meldert. Cette date doit ètre 1626, ainsi que le prouve son testament et les contestations auxquelles donna lieu l'ouverture de sa succession.
En parlant de Lambert, seigneur des Hayons, celui qui voulut se faire souverain : « il a été marié,dit-il, et a laissé deux filles religieuses à Bouillon. » Lisez : il a été marié, en premières noces, avec Valen- tine de Havré dont il eut une fille, Isabelle, morte, en 1635, au couvent du Saint-Sépulcre de Bouillon; et, en seconde noces, avec Catherine de Bavière dont il eut deux filles, Catherine et Claude, mortes toutes les deux religieuses-novices au mème couvent de Bouillon.
