BOETZELAER (Lodewijk Willem baron van den), heer van Aarlanderveen, geb. te 's Gravenhage 17 Jan., ged. Waalsche kerk 18 Jan. 1691 (als Louis Guillaume), overl. ald. 5 Juni 1733, zoon van baron Carel (1), hiervóór, en van Sophia Ferens.
Hij trad in militairen dienst, werd cornet 20 Maart 1710, luitenant 5 Maart 1711, ritmeester in het regiment 's Gravenmoer 16 Juli 1712, in denzelfden rang in het regiment van den erfprins van Hessen-Cassel 9 Nov. 1720 en in dat der gardes te paard, regiment Hompesch 18 Sept. 1725, majoor 1 April 1733 en ten slotte luitenant-kolonel en ritmeester der hollandsche gardes te paard. Voorts hoogheemraad van Schieland.
Hij huwde te Scheveningen 12 Mei 1726 met Eva Maria Slicher, geb. te Amsterdam 3 Aug. 1700, begr. Groote Kerk te 's Gravenhage 16 Nov. 1780, dochter van Mr. Pieter en van Brigitta Catharina Backer. Van hun kinderen gaat Carel (2) hiervóór.
