REEDE VAN OUDTSHOORN (Barend Cornelis baron van), heer van Oudshoorn c.a., geb. te Utrecht 19 Oct. 1690, overl. te Naarden 15 Aug. 1750, begraven te Oudshoorn; zoon van Pieter van Reede tot Nederhorst (die vóórgaat) en van Maria de Vlaming van Outshoorn.
Hij was luitenant-generaal en 20 Juli 1731 benoemd tot kolonel van een regiment infanterie. In 1748 was hij met zijn regiment binnen Maastricht en hielp die stad 13 April - 7 Mei verdedigen tegen den maarschalk van Saksen en Löwenthal. Daarna werd hij commandeur der stad Naarden tot zijn dood.
Hij huwde te Oisterwijk 29 Oct. 1713 met Catharina Cornelia van Eys, geb. te 's Hertogenbosch 9 Sept. 1695, overleden te Naarden 26 Febr. 1755 en te Oudshoorn begraven; dochter van Leonard en van diens 3e vrouw Geertruid Sara Verster.
Uit dit huwelijk sproot slechts één zoon, Pieter (1) (kol. 1029).
