Gerbrant is overleden in 1484 omtrent het feest van St.Mattheus (21 september) volgens het boekje “Vita Viglii” pagina 5.

Gerbrant was gehuwd met Jets Wytzesdr van Buckama, geboren rond 1448, overleden Roordahuizum 22 mei 1528, begraven Swichem ,grafschrift: dochter van Wytze van Buckama en Mintz Jetzesdr Schutsma.

Haar grafsteen in de kerk van Swichem vermeldt dat zij als tachtigjarige 44 jaar na haar man is overleden op 2 mei 1528.
De sterfdag 2 mei 1528 is ontleend aan het boekje “Vita Viglii” pagina4, waar ook vermeld werd dat zij haar man 44 jaar overleefde
