Notes about Johan Adriaan Joost "Johan Adriaan" Sloet Heer van Kerssenberg

De volgende eigenaar is Volkier Sloet, die zich dan ook 'tot Westerholt' noemt.
In een register van de jaarlijkse uitgangen ten voordele van 't Ecclesiastieke Rentambt van Vollenhove staat dat uit het huis en hof van Jonkheer Volkier Sloot, nu de heer van Hagenvoorde, verschillende geldpachten gingen die betaald werden door de gebruiker. Dat was in 1703 Lubbert Berens, in 1709, 1717 en 178 door een ander en 1719 door Jr. Sloet tot Westerholt als eigenaar en gebruiker. In het tweede deel luidt de omschrijving: Jr. Volkier Sloots, nu de heer Sloet toe Westerholts huys en hoff c.a., nu camp voor de Bentpoort, verantwoord 1730-1740. Dat zal gaan om een boerderij die bij Westerholt hoorde en later afgebroken is.

Door vererving kwam Westerholt aan de zoon van broer Wolter Hermen, genaamd Jan Adriaan Joost Sloet. Schilderijen van hem en zijn echtgenote W. A. E. E. van Heeckeren tot Nettelhorst bevinden zich in het museum te Zwolle, geschilderd door G. J. Palthe in 1740. Bij de provisionele boedelscheiding van hem en zijn vrouw in 1769 werd aan hun zoon Robbert Adolph Borchard Jan Sloet toegedeeld de riddermatige havezate Westerholt met de camp, alsmede het Campererve, Rentingserve, het erve Koolhof, Francenkamp, Peter Bousplaatsje, 7 gien uiterdijk, de bossen op het Heetveld, Jan Visserscamp en Roelof Pyterscamp. Robbert A. B. J. werd verschreven van Westerholt in 1772.
Bij de definitieve scheiding (in 1782) was hij gehouden om de waarde wederom in de boedel te brengen. In de huwelijksvoorwaarden van hem en zijn vrouw van 5 november 1784 staat dat hij aan- en medebrengt de havezate Westerholt met zijn erven enz.
