   Pursuant to the order of last Aug CC Court, Commission issued to examine witnesses touching the bounds of a tract of
   land called Woodyards Industry, in possession of Richard Woodyard as follows - To Thomas Stone, Richard Harrison,
   George Jones, and William Winter of CC, Gent (not being any way related to the petitioner, contiguous proprietor, nor
   interested in sd land), whereas Richard Woodyard is seized in fee of a tract of land called Woodyards Industry, lying in
   Durham Parish in CC, did on Aug 11 in the 27th year of our Dominion, prefer his petition to CC Court before Robert
   Hanson, Gent and his Associates, CC Justices, for Commission to examine witnesses to prove and perpetuate the
   memory of the bounds of sd land. Signed Aug 14, 1741 - Edmd Porteus, Cl.
   And now here, Thomas Stone & Richard Harrison, return the Commission afd with the following certificate and
   depositions thereto annexed: We certify that we have executed the within Commission and have taken the several
   depositions hereunto annexed. Signed Oct 19, 1741 - Thomas Stone, Rid Harrison.
   The deposition of John Perrie, age about 40, who declares that he has been often told that a pig hickory, which now
   appears to have 6 notches of an ancient bound where this deponent now is, and standing on a level in the line of the
   land whereon Capt. John Barker now dwells, was the bound tree of Richard Woodyard's land. Signed - John (I his mark)

   The deposition of Christopher Carroll, age about 27, who declares that about 11 years ago, Richard Woodyard showed
   him the above mentioned bounded hickory tree and told him that it was the beginning bound tree of his land. Signed -
   Christopher Carrell.
   The deposition of John Peddie, age about 47, who declares that about 18 years ago, Richard Woodyard showed him the
   above mentioned hickory tree and told him it was the beginning bound tree of his land. Signed - John (P his mark)

   The deposition of William Shelton, age about 29, who declares that some years ago, he was told by some person, but
   whom this deponent cannot well remember, that the above mentioned bounded hickory tree was the bound tree of
   Richard Woodyard's land. Signed - William Shelton.

   Charles County Land Records 1786-1790; Liber D#4; Page 112. Jun 28, 1787 from Hugh Perry of CC, to Francis Perry
   of CC, for 50 shillings, part of a tract of land called Perry's Hunting Place, lying in Durham Parish in CC, sd part to
   contain 20 acres, and is to be laid off adjoining to a tract of land called Griffis' Ambition, and is the remaining part of the
   sd tract after taking out or including 53 acres more for the ad Francis Perry, in virtue of the will of their father, John Perry,
   decd. And sd Hugh Perry hereby docks, debars, cuts off, and forever destroys all estates, tail and limitations, with all
   remainder contingent or vested in the sd part of the sd tract of land hereby sold, and does, in virtue of the Act of
   Assembly of the sd State, entitled an Act concerning Estates tail, made in Nov 1782, grant to sd Francis Perry, the ad
   part of the sd tract of land, clear of entails, limitations, and encumbrances. Signed - Hugh Perry. Wit - Francis Dunington
