Notes about Robert Wallis

Robert, born in 1818, married Mary WATSON and had a varied career. He moved to Marske in Cleveland (still in Yorkshire). On the1851 census he was a tailor (Mary was a dressmaker). That obviously didn’t suit him as in 1861 he was a grocer, in 1871 he was a labourer in an ironstone mine and by 1881 he was a draper. Robert & Mary had 7 children. He died in Marske in 1892.
