Voordat Harm zijn tweede huwelijk in kan gaan doet hij, zoals het betaamd, erfuiting om zijn dochter uit het eerste huwelijk haar moederlijk erfdeel te doen toekomen.

In de begraafboeken van Vollenhove is nog twee maal te vinden dat een kind van Hermen Klaver begraven is (27-11-1741 en 03-11-1762), doch in de vermelding staat geen naam aangegeven.

Notes about Harmen Jans Klaver

Harmen groeit op in Giethoorn en Beulake.
Hij huwt rond 1717 met IJda Jans en ze zijn woonachtig in `t Klooster (het huidige Sint Jans Klooster). Daar wordt zijn eerste kind geboren. Kort daarna vertrekken ze naar de Leeuwte waar zijn tweede kind wordt geboren.
De bevalling van dit tweede kind verliep niet goed. IJda maakt tijdens de bevalling haar testament en komt inderdaad te overlijden. Het kind dat wordt geboren is nog wel gedoopt, doch zal ook kort daarna overlijden.

Harmen is werkzaam in de turf. Hij wordt genoemd in het register van verpondinge en leninge van 1731 (R.A.O. SchoutAmbt Vollenhove 2517-bis) ondermeer op blad 38.

Een half jaar na het overlijden van IJda wil Harmen opnieuw trouwen. In een acte van erfuiting wordt dochter Niesje haar moeders erfdeel toegekend.
Harmen huwt Niesje Egberts ten Napel en het gezin vertrekt naar `t Klooster. Daar wordt hun eerste kind geboren. Nadien trekken ze weer naar de (kleine) Leeuwte waar in ieder geval nog zes kinderen worden geboren.
Vier van deze zeven kinderen zijn vermoedelijk jong en/of ongehuwd overleden.
