Het echtpaar woonde in het Amsterdamscheveld en konden geen van beide schrijven waardoor ze de trouwakte niet konden ondertekenen. Er werd bij het sluiten van het huwelijk een kind gewettigd - dit zal hun oudste zoon zijn geweest gezien de geboorte datum. Ze ging samen met haar man in Nieuw Amsterdam wonen.
In de genealogy Sijbon is vermeld dat hij, Jan Sibon, die na 1850 als arbeider werkt bij Berend Hendrik Albers, geb 1792 in Dld., ovl. 10 mrt 1853 in Dalen, adres : 46 Nieuw Schoonebeek?, kwam dan van blad 563: 66 Nieuw Schoonebeek, waar hij als arbeider werkte bij Wilhelm Krahlmann, geb 1813 in Wesuwe Dld.
Hij vertrekt dan op 8 sept 1855 naar de gem. Emmen. Begraven te Erica. Hij kon in 1871 niet schrijven - dit staat vermeld in de geboorte akte van zijn dochter Katrien. Het echtpaar woonde in 1871 in Nieuw Amsterdam. Terwijl in 1893, bij het huwelijk van hun dochter, als adres Amsterdamscheveld wordt genoteerd.

Notes about Anna Maria Helena Pleis

Het verhaal wil dat ze te vondeling is gelegd in een tuin van een paleis. Haar vader zou bij deze (kasteel) heer als timmerman gediend hebben. Dit blijkt niet waar te zijn gezien haar geboorte akte waar ze als wettig kind van beide echtelieden is aangegven.
De naam Pleis komt niet van paleis (zoals werd aangenomen) maar is de achternaam van haar wettige vader.
