Willem Cornelisz. de Vlugt, zijn broer Gerrit Cornelisz. de Vlugt en Goossen Schalcke van de Arent hebben in 1653 aangenomen op de Admiraliteitswerf te Rotterdam het nieuwe admiraalsschip voor Maarten Tromp te bouwen. Dit schip, genaamd de Eendracht, is door Tromp niet meer bevaren, maar werd het admiraalsschip van zijn opvolger Jacob Wassenaer van Obdam, die er de slag om de Som mee won. Het schip werd door de Engelsen opgeblazen tijdens de slag bij Lowestoft op 13 juni 1665.
19 maart 1688 testeren Willem de Vlucht, schiptimmerman, en Grietje Teunisse van Gilst. Erfgenamen: zoons Jan, Gerrit, Theunis, Willem, Dingeman en Cornelis, dochter Susanna, gehuwd met Aldert van Krevelt en de kinderen van de overleden dochter Maeijcke bij Matthijs Cortpenning.
