Op 31 december 1812 verklaart Pieke Tjeerds, wonende te Echten, dat hij aanneemt als familienaam Huitema en dat hij heeft het navolgende getal kinderen en kindskinderen: Joukjen, oud 27 jaar en Lolkjen, oud 19 jaar alsmede Pieke, oud 10 jaar, Antje, oud 7 jaar, Jan, oud 5 jaar, Luite, oud 3 jaar en Hendrik, oud ¾ jaar, allen van dochter Joukjen en wonende te Oosterzee.
De in de akte genoemde datum zal 31 december 1811 moeten zijn, want kleinzoon Hendrik is gedoopt op 5 Maart 1811.
