Notes about Albert van den Brandeler

In 1897 vestigde Jhr. A .van den Brandeler zich in Baarn en werd daar lid van de gemeenteraad, lid van de plaatselijke schoolcommissie, voorzitter van de Volksbond, lid der commissie van toezicht van de Spaarkas van Baarn, enz. Raadslid bleef hij tot aan zijn overlijden in 1905. Albert van den Brandeler was ridder der Militaire Wilhelmsorde, oud-inspecteur der Maatschappij tot expl. van staatsspoorwegen. Hij werd in Haarlem geboren en diende als 2e luitenant bij het Ned. Indische leger. Hij verliet het leger door bekomen verwondingen als 1e luitenant. In 1889 werd hem de rang van kapitein toegekend. In 1883 werd hij benoemd tot adjunkt-inspecteur bij de Maatschappij tot exploitatie van staatsspoorwegen, uit welk dienstvak hij in 1897, op zijn verzoek, eervol ontslag werd verleend.
