Arie W.J. van Voorthuijsen heeft zich uitvoerig verdiept in de geschiedenis van de molens "De Hoop" en de "Walderveenschemolen", de enige twee molens onder Lunteren.
Arie informeerde me dat Willem van de Hoef niet als eigenaar van één van deze twee molens te boek staat. Zijn gegevens noemen hem als landbouwer op de "Kleine-Voort", nu Drieënhuizerweg 4 onder Lunteren.
Wellicht heeft Willem gewerkt als molenaarsknecht op één van deze molens.
