Bij de aangifte van de geboorte van Aart Berends zijn ze bij de burgelijke stand in Hilversum de letter E vergeten van de naam Berendse. Hij werd dus ingeschreven als Berends. Daar zijn ze pas achter gekomen bij het huwelijk van Aart en Wilhelmina Anna Magdalena in Baarn op 15 Augustus 1924. Om de letter E er bij te krijgen konden ze die kopen voor 400 gulden voor die tijd een heleboel geld dus dat hebben ze niet gedaan. Maar er was toch geen grote erfenis, anders hadden ze niets gekregen.
