Als Vorsitzender des Vogteigerichts wird er in einem Vogtgedingeprotokoll von 1598 als Bevollmächtigtereines "ehrwürdigen Capittuls Sancti Cassii in Bonn" erwähnt. Daraus kann geschlossen werden, dass er Pächter des Dattenfelder Fronhofs gewesen und damit ein Nachfolger des 1508 als Pächter beurkundeten Hermann Steinhauer.
