Naam aangenomen in 1811/1813 (Mairie Ureterp), zijn broer Fooke nam de naam aan van:van der Kuip (Mairie Drachten), zijn broer Halbe nam de naam aanvan: de Boer (Mairie Surhuizum). Na 1777 woonde de familie aan de noordkant van de vaart in Ureterp. In 1789 verhuist hij naar een andere woning aan de Noordkant van de vaart en komt zijn broer Halbe bij hem inwonen. Waarschijnlijk huisnr. 92 (Dit was het huisnr. bij zijn overlijden). Woonde te Drachten en te Ureterp BRON: P-DSA
