    Op 04-06-1944 voor IJmuiden op een mijn gelopen en gezonken, Hierbij zijn 3 bemanningsleden omgekomen.
    Volgens een Duitse bron is het scheepje nabij het wrak van de STRASSBURG ( BALOERAN ) op een mijn gelopen en gezonken.
    Schipper Messemaker werd gered. De drie omgekomen mannen zijn;
    Dirk van der Plas, 32 jaar,
    Schipper van motorsloep "Nellie", IJM 218, heeft Dirk van der Plas, die bewusteloos in het zee lag, binnenboord gehaald en kunstmatige ademhaling toegepast. De IJM 246 heeft hulp geboden, maar tussen de pieren gaf het slachtoffer geen teken van leven meer.
    Na het aanmeren heeft de dokter de dood geconstateerd.
    Jacob van Roon, 29 jaar, (Op 27-06-1944 dood aangetroffen op het strand bij Schoorl) en
    Jan Wagemaker ,36 jaar, (op 16-06-1944 dood aangetroffen op het strand bij op Castricum)

    De schipper Huibert Messemaker is gered door de IJM 218 en aan wal gebracht. Hij bleek gewond te zijn en is met de ziekenauto naar huis gebracht.
