    Op 18-02-1918 vertrokken uit IJmuiden voor de visserij in de vrije vaargeul. Op 20 februari werd door de IJM 178 NORA een rookwolk gezien. Toen men op de plek der onheils kwam, vonden ze de sloep met äAÃäAÃn bemanningslid daarin. Voordat ze de man aan boord kregen zonk deze weg in zee. De zes bemanningsleden kwamen bij deze mijnontploffing om.
