    OA Vld.273: bl 203 dd jan 1553. Jan Jans Drop, jonge Drop koopt uit zijn 3 kinderen, gewonnen bij Anna Florisd.... Hij stelt als borg zijn huis en erf, gelegen op den Dijck, belend. Noord Claes Cornelisz, Zuid Aryen Cornelisz, West de Dijck, Oost. die Havenpad.
    OA Vld. 273, bl 202 dd 25-3-1557: Comp Marritge Jansd met haar voogds hand, haar oom Gelein Gerritsz. en bekende betaald te zijn van Jan Jansz. drop, haar vader, van haar moeders erfenis. Zij tekent.
    In het poortersboek werd hij als eerste van de 2 zonen genoemd, waardoor hij waarschijnlijk de oudste is en het volgende item komt uit het poortersboek: Jan Jansz. Drop stierman is poorter doer den eed van zijn vader, genoempt dat Ouwe Droppen, dye hij die stede gedaen heeft.
    In het poortersboek staat Dryck Jans Jonge Drop op de volgende adressen: bl 18: de westkant van de Wael; bl. 22 Die lijnbaen; op bl 24 Dat Gruenendael en daarna op bl 25 Dijckhuisen.
    Op blad 38 staat hij als stuurman wonende in een Dijckhuys. (Info P. Groen)
