De achternaam werd op zeer vele manieren geschreven - eigenlijk nooit hetzelfde. Maar dat geldt ook in zijn geval met zijn voornaam.

Palliek wordt in de DTB boeken van de RK teruggevonden en is dus ook van Roomse afkomst. Hij was overleden bij het huwelijk van Catharine in 1724 terwijl hij bij zijn laatste dopeling in 1718 nog leeft.
Vreemd is dat sommige gebeurtenissen in de DTB boeken zijn geregisteerd, mogelijk omdat zijn vrouw Janna wel NG gedoopt is?
Zijn voornaam en achternaam wordt bij alle gebeurtenissen steeds anders genoemd: Palic, Palick, Pallik en Besselinck, Bisseling, Bis(si)lic.
