    29-10-1622 Wouter Maartens, varend man, wed.r Lijsbet Arents, doet in bijzijn van de voogden uitkoop. De vijf kinderen zijn Maarten 17Ùa jaar, Leuntje 15 jr, Maritgen 13 jr, Arien 11 jr en Cornelis 3Ùa jr. Borg huis en erf aan de zuidzijde van de Waalstraat.
    In 1622 zit hij gevangen in Duinkerken.
    In de loop der jaren zijn er wat processen tegen Wouter i.v.m. hypotheekschulden van 2e vrouw Arijaantje. Zij had met haar 1e man een huis in de Lijnstraat.
    In 1631 neemt Wouter een hypotheek op de huizen in Lijnstraat en Waalstraat.
    Daarna nog meer processen wegens schuld.
    In 1638 verkoopt de curator van de nalatenschap van Wouter Maartens de huizen in Lijnstraat en Waalstraat.
