Kort na deze geboorte van dochter Kornelisje (Cornelia) in 1796 is moeder Marritje overleden.
Cornelis krijgt omstreeks 1801 een relatie met Jannigje Remme Heemsbergen zij is de dochter van Remmert Jansz Heemsbergen en Willemijntje Gerrits. Jannigje is ged. 18-03-1760 te Veenendaal uit deze relatie worden geboren Willem in 1802 en Willemijntje in 1804.
