Notes about Pablo Antonio Bouvy

Pablo Antonio Bouvy was het zevende kind van Nicolas Pedro en kwam vanuit Bilbao naar Amsterdam om Nederlands te leren. Hij ging werken op het kantoor van zijn oom Joseph Antonio Francisco Bouvy. Toen zijn oom in 1764 overleed ging handelshuis Joseph Bouvy & Co op in P.A. Blecken & Co, en daarna in Direen & Direen & Cavellier, Philip Jan Cavellier & Cavellier & van Ceulen. Pablo Antonio bleef al die tijd in dienst. In 1796 maakte Van Ceulen (Jan Baptist van Ceulen) Pablo mede-eigenaar. Pablo had hier echter weinig profijt van daar hij in hetzelfde jaar overleed. Vele jaren later trouwde Van Ceulen met een dochter van Pablo, Theodora Christina Bouvy.
Pablo kreeg maar liefst 14 kinderen die allemaal volwassen werden.
