Décès de Georges Ceelen

Avec la disparition de Georges Ceelen, Wiers vient de perdre l’une de ses figures. Apprécié tant pour ses qualités professionnelles que pour son engagement aux côtés du RFC Wiers, il laisse un grand vide.

Né à Wiers en avril 42, Georges devient expert-comptable. Après un début de carrière au Garage du Centre, il décide de travailler seul et gèreles problèmes de comptabilité et de fiscalité des commerçants du village et de la région, dont il va très vite gagner la confiance et l’amitié. Dans le même temps, Georges consacre sa vie au club de football de Wiers. Il y était entré comme joueur à dix ans, avant de rejoindre le comité, dont il sera, pendant plus de quarante ans, le secrétaire et le trésorier. Ses funérailles auront lieu ce samedi 23 à 10 h, l’église Saint-Amand de Wiers.
