Jarich Jarichs (Jarrich) Jelschama (van Metsingawier): Children: Reynsck (1360, Rinsck, Kinsck, Reijnsk, married Sytse Johans Martena), Wybo (1385). According to one source, he is the Jarich Jelskama who married Sioke Wijarda. However, their birth dates are 65 years apart, making this very unlikely - if, indeed, the two women are actually one person. Otherwise... is it possible that two women named Sioke Wiarda married a Jarich Jelckama two generations apart? [1] There is a fairly good chance that this Jarich did not marry Sioke. Records about the Jarich Jellema / Sioke Wiarda connection are very confusing. Many say it was this Jarich who married a Sioke, and some of them connect her with a grand uncle having her born 75 years too late. Others say it was the Sioke 75 years later who married this Jarich’s son Jarich and some of them say she had several children with him. Who is correct? We may never know. We do know that his grandson Jarich Jellema married a Sioke Wiarda: there are records that prove this much at least.[1] Sources
