Notes about johanna jansdr. van DRIEL

Johanna Jans van Driel liet op 6 febr. 1726 te Heerjansdam een buitenechteluke zoon Mattheus
dopen. De inschrijving vermeldt: "een zoon gedoopt in onegt geteelt - vader zoo genaamt
Mattheus van der Ligt - moeder Johanna Jans van Driel". Vier dagen voordien was
Johanna reeds in ondertrouw gegaan met een klaarblijkelijk veel oudere man. In zijn ondertrouwakte
van 1726 wordt van der Stiggel 'fionge man" genoemd, doch vermoedelijk is
deze notitie foutief en was hij toen reeds weduwnaar. Absolute zekerheid over zijn plaats
in de 's-Gravendeelse familie van der Stigchel is nog steeds niet verkregen55. ~ agnaf in 1736
het lijk van zijn schoonvader van Driel aan bij de gaarder te Kleine Lindt, terwijl hij op 8
aug. dat jaar nog in een al hiervoor genoemde akte voorkomt52. Het echtpaar van der Stiggel-
van Driel had een kind.
