Door Agaath den Hertog: Bezig zijnde met dit geslacht, bleek mij, dat deKurpershoeken(ook Corpershoek) woonden in het Zoutveen tussen Kethel enSchipluiden. Daar de naam mij deed denken aan een plaats waar vroegercorpers (karpers) werden gevonden, ben ik op een mooie voorjaarsdag dezepolders eens gaan bezoeken en vertelde men mij, dat er een gehucht "DeKurpershoek" bestond onder het dorp Schipluiden. En zowaar, ik vond daaro.a. de Korpermolen (nu afgebrand). Aan deze molen is nog eenspookgeschiedenis verbonden. Aan de vaart bij de brug vond ik een zeeroude boerderij(bewoond door de Fam. Boekestein) genaamd de"Korpershoek". De ene paal aan de oprijlaan met het opschrift "Korper"is nu vermoedelijk verdwenen, doch de andere paal met het woord "hoek"was verleden jaar nog in ere.(nu 2001).
Volgens overlevering zouden in vroeger dagen, wanneer het water zeerhoog kwam, in de "opkamer" nonnen opgeborgen zijn. De ramen van dezekamer zijn nog voorzien van zware tralies. Ook bezit deze plaats eenpaar grote schouwen en een praalbed met een hemel. Ik heb getracht of ikin een of andere lectuur ook iets meer over deze boerderij te weten konkomen, doch dit mocht mij niet gelukken. Kan iemand mij hierover meervertellen na 06-04-1627??
