Dit is het gedicht dat ik heb gemaakt voor haar en vertolkt mijn gevoelens.

Wanneer ik op de begraafplaats kom
Waar mijn moeder ten ruste ligt
Is er altijd weer de vraag waarom
Jij voor de dood bent gezwicht

Hoe eenzaam heb ik me gevoeld
Zonder jou om me heen
Ik snap dat jij dat nooit zo hebt bedoeld
Maar het is wel waarom ik ween

Jij hebt me onvoorwaardelijk lief gehad
Troostte me in mijn verdriet
Je leerde me de eerste pasjes op ‘t levenspad
Je was er voor me, ook al zag ik dat nog niet

Je hebt me onder je hart gedragen
En ik mis je elke dag nog steeds
‘k Stel je in gedachten al mijn vragen
Keer op keer, het raakt nooit sleets

‘Weet dat ik voortdurend aan je denk
Soms blij soms heel begaan
‘k Ervaar het als een lief geschenk
Zo blijf je in mijn herinnering bestaan.
